Personal Information is information about an individual that can be used to identify a specific individual such as name, date of birth, address, fax number, telephone number, occupation, e-mail address, number assigned to each individual, or other description (including information that can be easily matched with other information to identify a specific individual).

When we collect Personal Information, we will do so by lawful and fair means, collect it only to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of collection, and will not use it for any other purpose. Initiatives to Protect Personal Information
The terms used in this Privacy Policy shall have the following meanings:
・Our company: GAKKOGAWA DISTILLERY, Inc.
・Brand site: Gakkogawa Distillery’s official website(https://gakkogawa.com)
・Shop: Gakkogawa Distillery’s official online store (unpublished).
・Customers: Customers who have reserved, purchased, or are considering purchasing our products, customers who have registered for our newsletter or registered on our application form to be a distributor, and customers who have applied for a tour of our distillery.
・Business partners: Customers who purchase and sell our products (including OEM products).
・Business contractors: Corporations or individuals who provide us with services related to the production and operation of brand websites and stores, product packaging and shipping, payment, and/or other related services.
The purposes of use of Personal Information are as follows:
・To respond to enquiries from customers.
・To send out products ordered, to settle payments, and to provide all related support related to such orders.
・To send newsletters (if requested), campaign information, and product information.
・To distribute, display and measure the effectiveness of advertisements.
・To send out advertising materials, prizes and gifts.
・To analyze (Use of results is limited to within our company).
・To respond to any acts that violate the terms and conditions and policies related to the use of our shop.
・To notify any changes to the terms and conditions and policies regarding our shop.
・To contact to request consent for the use of Personal Information to third parties.
We will not use the Personal Information we have obtained for any other purpose without the consent of the individuals. However, if we are requested to disclose Personal Information by court order, order of an administrative agency, or other legal provision, or when it is necessary for criminal investigation, elimination or prevention of infringement of rights of third parties, or any other similar necessary, or when statistical data after making personal identification impossible is used as research material; then, this is not the case.
We will strive to maintain data with the utmost care to ensure the accuracy of Personal Information.
We will handle Personal Information data with the utmost care and take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent loss, destruction, leakage, loss or alteration, and for other security management.
We will not disclose or provide Personal Information to third parties (including those located outside of Japan) without the prior consent of the individual.
However, we may disclose or provide Personal Information to third parties (including parties located outside of Japan) in the following cases:

(4)In addition to cases that fall under Article 9 of the Enforcement Order for the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, cases permitted by law.

The use of Personal Information shall be within the scope of the “Purposes of Use of Personal Information” determined by our company, and this shall be the purpose of use common to each company.

Name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, contract information, and other items within the scope necessary for the above purposes of use.

Personal Information may be provided to sub-contractors to the extent necessary. In such cases, a confidentiality agreement will be signed to ensure the proper handling of the information, and disclosure will be limited to the extent necessary.
If you wish to request Disclosure, correction, suspension of use or deletion of personal data held by us; or if you wish to be notified of the purpose of use, or if you wish to disclose records of provision to third parties (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Disclosure”), we will respond to your request within a reasonable period and scope after confirming your identity as the person making the request.

Personally Relevant Information is information about a living individual that does not fall under any of the following categories: Personal Information, pseudonymized information, and anonymized information.

There are cases in which Personal Information obtained from a customer is collated with personal related information provided by a third party, and the personal related information may become personal data that can identify the individual.

a. Access logs
We obtain access logs when our customers access our brand sites or shops. The access log includes the name of the Internet service provider, domain name, IP address, type and version of browser used, type of OS, access date and time. We may use the acquired access logs in a form that does not identify individuals to improve the functionality and convenience of the shop.
b. Cookies
We may use cookies on our brand sites or shops. Cookie is text data in ID format consisting of a unique string that is sent to the browser of a user who accesses a website through which we may obtain information on behavioral history and attributes of the users who accessed the shop. Although these data may be combined to become personally identifiable information, ID is issued to browsers randomly and is not linked to any personally identifiable data.
We may use information related to cookies and information obtained using cookies in a form that does not identify individuals in order to improve the functionality and convenience of the shop.

We will check the details of any request for Disclosure that we receive and notify the requester of the results in writing at a later date.
Disclosure may not be possible for the following reasons.
・When we are unable to confirm the identity.
・In the case of the request by agent, if the right of representation and authority of representation cannot be verified.
・When there is a deficiency in the submitted documents.
・When the subject of the request for Disclosure is not “Personal Information subject to Disclosure”.
・When there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the representative or a third party.
・When there is a risk of causing significant hindrance to our business operations.
・In the case of violation of any other laws or regulations.
Personal Information obtained by us in response to a request for Disclosure will be handled only to the extent necessary to respond to the request. Any documents which are submitted may not be subject to return the documents, as they will be disposed of promptly after the response to the request is completed.
